Empowering Minds.
Inspiring Success.

Believe & Achieve exists to empower individuals to unlock their potential through personal development, training, and mentoring.

My vision is to create second chances and stronger futures by helping people believe in themselves and achieve more than they thought possible and not let their past define there future.

About Me

Lee

Founder and CEO

I’m Lee Weston, the Founder and CEO/Director of Believe & Achieve CIC, and a proud care-experienced change maker using my journey to empower others. My life has taken me through some of the hardest challenges a young person can face and those experiences are exactly why I built this organisation.

I spent nine years in the care system, moving through over 28 different placements. Constant change became normal. Stability didn’t exist. By 17, I received a five-year prison sentence, and it felt like every label and stereotype society puts on care-experienced young people had been placed on me at once.

But that wasn’t the end of my story, it was the turning point.

Inside, I made a promise to myself, my past wasn’t going to decide my future. I worked on myself, learned, unlearned, rebuilt, and came out determined to change the systems and mindsets that fail too many young people like me.

Today, I’m a professional change-maker and expert by experience, using every part of my journey to drive real change for care-experienced young people in Liverpool and across the county. I’ve worked across youth services, community spaces, charity environments, and empowerment programmes - always with one message at the heart of it:

Your story doesn’t define your future.

I created Believe & Achieve CIC because I know what it feels like to grow up without the support you deserve. I also know what’s possible when someone finally believes in you. Our work is built on real experience, compassion, and honesty. We don’t just talk about change, we live it.

My mission is simple:

  • To stand beside young people, not above them.

  • To create opportunities, not barriers.

  • To help care-experienced individuals build confidence, skills, and independence.

  • To prove that with the right support, every young person can build a future they’re proud of.

Believe & Achieve CIC exists because I never gave up on myself and now I won’t give up on anyone else.

We’re proudly partnered with Catch22 CLiC, who will deliver sessions and offer opportunities in education, training, or employment after the programme.

We’re also partnered with Positive Futures, including access to their Young Leaders Programme and other opportunities in their space.

This programme is created by someone who has been a care leaver themselves and understands the challenges our community faces.

Your past doesn’t define your future. Every young person deserves the chance to Believe & Achieve.

"The sessions were fun and motivational for me to get out and about during my day. They were not intense or stressful in any way, really enjoyable. I learned more about how I fit into a community and society and little things like walks are good things to do. Lee was great in making me feel respected and listened too, I felt comfortable around him and he was easy to talk too. Lee made me feel more confident outside and in the world. I am more independent and outgoing thanks to the sessions from Lee. I liked how easy Lee was easy to talk too and despite being a red he was good to talk to about the football and was interested and engaged in all conversations. Lee was great and really helped me with myself and my mental health."
